Once upon a time, in one of the oldest and remote Ural cities a girl was born. She was called Alena. The girl grew up in an enchanted place. Mountains covered by pines and cedars gave the local folk gems and metals. Endless forests were inhabiting by harum-scarum animals. And people were sharp and gifted craftsmen. All these factors brought about a fairy-tale. And although the girl grew up deep in her heart she was always ready to be surprised and open up to everything new.

That came a time when Teddy bears appeared in her life. That was something odd and yet vaguely familiar. And the girl suddenly remembered the dense forests of her native land where strong and independent brown bears roamed free. The girl has decided to develop the fairy-tale that was inspired by her land and began to create bears.

All above is about me – Alena Olkhovikova – the author of the living here bears.

All the bears that I make are handmade including accessories. The bears and their friends are made by the traditional Teddy Bear technique. High quality, hinge mount of heads and paws, maximum use of natural materials, careful stuffing.

My bears are very different. And I’m not looking for MY bear because I create them for you the people that are so diverse. But in every bear you will feel be a piece of my heart and the mystery of my land.
